The Hungry Games Blog Pt.2 :)
The Hunger Games ended with such a cliff hanger, that I had to keep reading. I feel that the writer used a couple different tools to make you want to come back. First off, she gave a triumphant sense to the readers, by letting them know that they rebelled and beat the Hunger Games system. What leaves you hanging, is what happens after the games. When there is an oppressive government, and someone embarrasses the system publicly, then the government feels the need to silence the rebels because a spark can start a wildfire. I find this to be true in many of the worlds rebellions that have happened throughout history, they happened after the government committed one single act of tyranny that the people just cannot take it anymore.
The Hungry Games
The Hunger Games series was so good to me. I ended up reading every book
in the series, and many thoughts come to my head when I think of it. My
first thought is that I hope America never falls into the traps of
The Hunger Games. I feel it could be very easy to have something similar to this in real life, especially because of our worlds history of brutality and barbaric forms of entertainment. I have always had faith in humanity though, so I feel like even if we succumbed to a form of entertainment such as the Hunger Games, I feel like we as people would revolt and take over quickly.
The 5 People You Meet in Heaven
The book starts out, in the last couple hours of Eddie's life. This is different in a lot of ways because of the fact that most books don't start with "The End". The way that Eddie died was also so tragic and coincidental, that you cannot help but to understand why one would feel wronged by this death. I hope he saved the little girl, and if he did, I have the strong feeling that she will be one of the people he meets in heaven. The Book in general was a great lesson in acceptance and forgiveness. This book opened my eyes to a whole new thought about the afterlife.

Loyalty.
in my eyes is one of my favorite traits, because of the fact that it can be so hard to come across these days. not many people feel the need to actually keep to their word and what not. it's frustrating, but i also vow to not be one of those people. i try as hard as i can to stay loyal to people, but it's somewhat hard when they don't bother to do it back. its actually my pet peeve, hanging around people that aren't loyal, or are really fake. i just don't understand how one can do it.

Respect.
A term that doesn't mean much to people these days, at least they don't show it if it does. i find that the young community doesn't feel the need to show older people the respect that they earned, and young people feel that they earned respect that they haven't. i'll never understand why people do this, but it's out of my hands.

Love.
Is a very powerful word, that i don't think some people will ever understand. Love is unconditional, and people will never get that. Love is not something you can acquire for someone that you just met, but i still believe in love at first sight. i feel like i've experienced love at first sight, but then again, i will never know. i wish i would've spoken to that girl, but then again, she wouldn't have understood me, she was Brazilian, and i'm pretty sure she was like, 17. but i could tell by the look in her eyes, she had the same thoughts. i actually ran into someone, because this beautiful fallen angel met eyes with me. she giggled a bit, and i slowly saw her start to fade into the crowd, and was never seen again. moral of the story: beat desales.
